Adding Google +1 Button

I have been having trouble adding the +1 button to the website I am currently building. It does not seem to work.

I went to the offcial googe site and followed the instructions by added the script into the head tag and putting the <g:plusone size="medium" ></g:plusone> in my body div tag.

I don't really understand why the +1 button is not working.

I clicked on the link in your signature and it seems like you've got this working. Any tips for others who may be having similar problems?

I've got a possible "solution"

If you ARE logged into a google account and click on a +1 button... something will happen

If by chance you are NOT logged into a google account (your browser of choice has to be logged in to a gmail or a google account).. if you aren't logged into G

nothing will happen

the +1 button records a valid gmail user's vote
it only records the votes of google account users.

a non google account holder is excluded from voting
