Looking for an email sending program

Hey all, I am an avid designer and have several websites that I wish to market.. I happen to have a lot of emails. I wanted to know if anyone here knows the best way to send emails in bulk?

These emails are opt-in, so I am not breaking any anti-spam laws.. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • Mailchimp or CampaignMonitor are nice tools.

    • Are you looking for a solution that runs on the web?

I'm not exactly sure, but it seems to be that way when I look at the project you have in your signature file.

So... is it a windows program or a php/ruby/asp script you're after?
  • I don't think that it would be worth using such programs. Most of the emails would hit the Spam/Junk mail. It is better to send them manually. If you have VPS/Dedicated Servers then I would recommend setting a Cron Job to send emails.
  • I have had good success with GroupMail.
  • A great script is Enterprise Email Marketer. Install the script on your server and CronJob the script to send one email every two minutes and you are blasting emails 24/7 on autopilot from your own server. Great way to both send from your @website.com and pass spam filter!

The B solution, a lot more expensive in the longer end thought, is by using aWeber or similar.

  • I've been using interspire email marketer, has so many options I can't name them all, it is just amazing. Works awesome and can be configured for ashared hosting, VPS or dedicated environment. Good luck
  • I would link you to the CRM that Palm Beach Software is developing, but the site's nowhere near done. The product's pretty sweet, though. You can maintain everything through the CRM and send emails out using unique parameters you can define. It's sweet.
