Selling Software??

Can anyone recommend a good place to sell a software program?

I listed it twice on Flippa but only got 2 bids the highest bid was only $500 as the software has already done $6000 in sales...I declined!

Are there any dedicated software auctions or forums where i might have more luck?

  • You should look for individual investors rathen than Flippa. Try asking people that have similar software within niche and offer them price right away.

  • M Thompson,

I was in your position a number of times, and here's what I did. I compiled a list of other software products on the market that complemented my own software product. For instance, if you wrote an article distribution software, look for someone who is offering an article spinner.

Once you've got this list, contact the individual vendors and tell them they could buy your software and use it as their back-end offer. Worst case scenario, they'll promote it for a comission, you can keep it and make some serious money with it.

Best of luck, this has worked wonders for me in the past!
  • You can use plimus to sell your software, also you will be able to offer affiliate commissions for more sales.
  • What is your software about ?
can you make a web version of it and charge for a monthly subscription?

    • It tracks Income across several sources, tracks backlinks, provides a diary function so you know what link building you've done and creates anchor text links.

because of the income tracker it will work better as a desktop tool.
  • Due to the explosion of individuals pursuing ventures in this space, your marketing tactics cannot simply be X software does Y. It must have a unique angle that transcends what else there is on the market.
