Best way to implement an Excel Spreadsheet into wordpress

I have an excel spreadsheet with maybe 150 rows of info that I will update maybe once a week and I would like to publish it on a page in wordpress. I would like for the visitor or end user to be able to manipulate the column of data from the site as well. So for instance if i put the excel spreadsheet into a wordpress page I would like the user to be able to select the amount of years old the musical equipment is that they are looking to purchase and sort from years, price etc. Any help would be great as I have no idea how to take my excel file and import into a WP page... Thank you for your input.

Use Google Docs, it might be the best way to go. You need to custom code your wordpress.

Google Docs support Excel docs, it can read/write the files.
You can also set permission per file whether it accessible to changed by other or not.

    Thats what I think.

    Cheers.

Just out of curiosity why an Excel spreadsheet?

Wouldn't a simple database be a better option, especially if you want to offer visitors the ability to filter and sort the data? It would certainly be a LOT easier to post on a website (WordPress or otherwise) than a spreadsheet.

    Just a thought...

Well I am not real technical at all so maybe a database would be suited better.

Basically I have a 150+ row spreadsheet that I use to list my used music equipment from my shop. I put in the musical item "guitar" its age "2 years old" its condition, namebrand and my asking price. I used that internally for my record keeping but want to now put it on my blog so my visitors can see my inventory and sort by age or condition or price.

I update that every week or so and was thinking i could just copy and paste the new updated sheet into my WP page or google docs is a good recommendation if i could update it through docs and it would post live to my WP page would be great.

    Thanks again for the input

Perhaps something like Tabelizer will work for you?

Since you allow access to the Excel spreadsheet, another way is to place a download link for the spreadsheet, on the page. Of course, don't forget to include your company name and contact details in the spreadsheet.

Go to add plugin, search on Excel
Pick one of the csv ones like:
      CSV to Webpage Pearlbells
you will need to save your Excel as .csv first

I would recommend Google Docs as well. You can either export to HTML or perhaps embed it directly on the page. If they don't have that functionality, maybe you can use an iframe.

Looks like a good fit for cellmaster. You can turn a spreadsheet into a web app. It will do the sorting, filtering, etc. The spreadsheet is google docs, so all the data is live. Spreadsheet web integration - Spreadsheets formulas that build a web application
