Hey guys,

I recently switched hosts from 1and1 to iPage. I uploaded all the site files via FTP and they are all there. However, now certain pages aren't working. Important pages like Sign Up, Sign In and my billing/admin page.

This is the error I'm receiving.

Script Error
MY SITE is not configured yet (database config table is not exists or empty), please remove MYSITE/config.inc.php, and run MYSITE/setup.php first.

Can someone please help a fellow Warrior out? I have these file in Microsoft Expression Web but I do not know what to do in order to get these files to work right again.

Help please?

  • Did you happen to remember to backup your database from your 1and1 hosting account? If you only did a backup of your files and directories, then it's not surprising that you're having problems.

Also, keep in mind that iPage likely isn't going to let you choose the same name for your database as you had at 1and1, so you're going to have to modify MYSITE/config.inc.php or wherever it is you're configuring your database connection.

    • Thanks for the replies guys.

My main problem is that I don't know how to run the creation scripts. I didn't make the scripts. I paid a developer.

Anyway, it doesn't matter to me whether the database name is the same or not. I honestly didn't have much valuable info saved in the database anyway.

My main concern is just getting the sign up, sign in and admin pages to work again. The site is still pretty new so losing the info in the database isn't SUCH huge deal.

However, I do want people to be able to sign up and I obviously need to access the back end aspects of the site.

Can you please tell me how to get these pages functioning again? I realize that the error is telling me what I have to do, I just really don't know how to do it.

      Does that help?
  • Well, if you don't know what you're doing, it would probably be best for you to contact the developer of the scripts. But if you're feeling adventurous, you might want to delete MYSITE/config.inc.php and then open DollarDrip/setup.php in a browser and see what happens!

(Option A would probably be best for you)
