Need coding for a Countdown ticker... Please help me

I know someone out there knows how to do this.

I'm setting up a sales page. I want to setup an independent ticker (countdown) that shows just a number counting down.

Example: On 99 products left..

I want 99 to randomly drop as someone is on the page...

I know there's a code for it because I've seen it on someone else's page but i can't find it to save my life. I've searched every inch of google and all i'm coming up with is countdown clocks...

    Count down for TIME or your PRODUCTS?
    (I guess your products?)

    If it is for products, you need some type of backend code that records the sale and calculate the remaining number of products to display.

    Wow, there are thousands of countdown timers in hotscripts.com including any style or any technique. By the way, guys, I really do not understand why you do so hard work around. What I would suggest for you as I see from our clients what they usually do for their sales pages.
    1. Install WordPress, so in this case you will be able to have as many pages as you like.
    2. When you install WP you will be able to have thousands of plugins that are ready to use for any purpose.
    These are two steps that you would need to follow in order to make your life easier
