Facebook apps development?

I'm looking for a custom FB app development source, hope you can help me with some good recommendations.

I need 4 apps for coupons, photo contest, audio contest and sweepstake.

My budget is max 200$ per app, is that's realistic price at all?

With that budget - no. Sorry.

You get what you pay for. If someone offers to do this for you for $200, run!

These days - the hard part isn't just the app development, but kick starting the viral distribution. Facebook made that a lot harder than it used to be.

If you go to freelancer.com or something, there probably WILL be people wanting to work for that amount of money - but as the previous poster said, you'll have more troubles than fun... Stay away.

    Cheers,

vWorker is another good site to look for developers of this ilk. However, as one of the other warriors pointed out make you have your applications mocked up, otherwise you are in a world of hassle and pain. Trust me, we've been down this road and its a nightmare.

Try and flesh out your application in as much detail as you can. IE:- What you initial screen looks like, how many buttons, what each button does etc etc. This is seriously boring to do, but will save you both time and money.

      Hope this helps.

PS:- A seriously good "mock up" designer is Flash Catalyst. This is friggin brilliant and it is quite cheap

Depends on what the various apps do, and how complex they are. I would defintelty advise mocking up what the apps should be doing using a tool like Balsmaiq wireframes. This is a great tool and I use it all the time.

Its been a while since I did any Facebook apps, but if I recall you can host the files yourself and then point Facebook's application page to it.

I don't know how you feel about trying to build an app yourself but I purchased "Building Facebook Apps for Dummies" (PDF) a few weeks ago, I'd be glad to share it with you (free) if you think it'll help...Just let me know, I don't want to upload it and place a link for nothing LOL

Ohhhhh if we could only put that on EVERY SINGLE programming website out there LOL

But then they would still ignore it

if not you probably need more than a $200 budget...

when apps get built overnight it's usually by a solo developer who's more than likely trying to solve a problem that he himself has been annoyed with for quite some time... and even then the process isn't "overnight" because his subconscious has probably been working on the problem for much longer

        Priceless reply!

It actually depends on how complex you want those app to be.. If you want just a coupon list or things like that you can get it for 5 bucks..
