Wordpress 3.3 Upgrade

Hi all,

Since upgrading to wp 3.3, the (static) home page on my blog just shows up as a blank page. I've tried deleting my firefox & IE cache's with no effect. I can still access the wp-admin folder but nothing I do seems to work. Disabled all the plugins as well to see if that was the problem but still no luck.

Has anyone else come across a similiar problem or can you suggest a fix?

all the best,
Dee

Hi again, I found a workaround which is okay since I have only a small number of sites on my Wordpress mu install. If trying to upgrade the site via the Network Admin Update menu for your main site e.g. http://yourprimarywpsite.com/, then you'll get a message "Error: could not connect to host" when trying to upgrade the other sites in your network.

To get around this, call the upgrade script of each additional site separately e.g. http://yourprimarywpsite/yournetworkwpsiten/upgrade.php.

Tedious if you have lots of sites in your network, but works all the same.

Looks like you sorted it out yourself. I've upgraded several sites to WP 3.3. now, without any major issues.

    • I've done several updates at this point. The only problem I've had was with Popup Domination (info about that here).

Your problem seems to be MU specific - have you had problems with any standalone sites?

I usually stay away from updating MU sites for a while when a new version comes out.
    Never change a running system.....

    Cheers,
