Problem Uploading Files to Subdomain. Please Help

Hi guys,
I have problem uploading files to one of the directories on my subdomain.
The folder that I am uploading contains two .gif, one .html, and two .php files.
I have wp installed on that domain but also want to upload those files to see them in different page of the site.
But after I transfer them to that directory of my subdomain and go to check in my web browser all files are listed in blue in the corner of the page.
When I click each link it takes me to the file it corresponding to, the only site that is correct is the .html and the rest is in different locations.

How can I make it to be the way it should ?
I am not a programmer and don't know coding.
Thanks.

    Hi MichaelWyz,

Can I just ask a couple of question to clarify what you are trying to do?

So you have uploaded some files to a directory on your subdomain.. when you browse to them with the web browser are you pointing at the files or the directory? what I mean is are you going:
    www.mysubdomain.com/directory
    OR
    www.mysubdomain.com/directory/myfile.php

it sound like you may be going to the directory rather than the file. If you need to just go to the directory then you need a default HTML or PHP file in there. You would just name the file index.html or (for the php one) index.php and it should be picked up.

Also, if you can see a file list it sounds like you also have directory browsing active on your web server/account... I would recommend you turn this off as it may pose a security risk.

Let me know who you are hosting with and I'll see if I let you know how to switch it off.

    HTH

Let me know if the above doesn't answer your question and I will try again

    Cheers

    Gaz

Hi Gaz hope you are well and thanks for your reply.

Let me walk you the steps how I do it. (to be honest this is first time I use ftp since for years I am using wordpress)
On my desktop I have folder called uploadnow. I go to filezilla and log in to relevant addon domain, go to public_html, go to my domain, click there and create new directory called uploadpg. Than I upload the folder with files from my desktop to that directory and the upload is successful.
But on the website page it looks like blue file link list

    Hi MichaelWyz,

Hmmm.... maybe it may be worth sending me the URL of the website to see if I can see what is going on... from what you say you should be able to go straight to HTML/php pages in that directory...

From what you have said you are navigating in your browser to:
    http://www.yoursubdomain.com/uploadn...dpg/myfile.php
    and it not working?

I'm happy for you to PM me the website if you prefer to do that.

    Cheers

    Gaz
