Automatic website replication

I've done some searches on the forum but haven't been able to find what I'm looking for -- maybe I'm not using the right keywords.

We want to create a self-replicating website system, but can't seem to find the right script.

Basically, the site is this: user1 goes to domain.com which sells them their "own" website, which would be like user1.replicatingsite.com (or replicatingsite.com/user1... whatever). The website he gets is generated automatically by the script, he can't adjust the content on the website (with the exception of maybe uploading a bio, photo, social media profile links). As long as this user keeps paying the monthly fee for the website, it stays online.

I know there are tons of MLM websites that do this. We've used a script that does this in the past, but it's about 10 years old, written in Perl and just not very customization.

Surely there's something out there that can do this. Help?

  • Yeah, I've taken a look at a couple of things on HotScripts, but nothing looks too promising. I'm wondering if the keywords I'm using are wrong... I figure it'd be called a "replicating website" or "duplicating website" -- but there's not much out there from what I can find. There are so many MLM sites that do this, and I'm guessing there's affiliate marketing software that does it, but anything I've come across isn't quite what I'm looking for.

    • Thanks, those were a couple of the ones that I found. The Plexum isn't exactly what I'm looking for, and the SiteReplicator's demo is broke.

      But I was able to find some other keywords... "downline script" and "forced matrix website" which have turned up a few more.

      I think we're going to end up writing our own though... we just have too many specific features that we're probably not going to find exactly what we need.
