Infusionsoft - Has Anyone Used It?

I've been building my business up from the ground floor over the past 5 years. I currently use a mixture of AWeber, Nutshell CRM, DLGuard, iDevAffiliate, Sendgrid, and a bunch of custom PHP to make everything work. I'm seriously considering swapping all this out for Infusionsoft as it seems that this is what the big boys use. I'm looking for all advice and comments from people who have experience with Infusionsoft as this is a huge decision for me.

  • I've been using it for 6.5 years now and absolutely love it. I'm impressed you were able to make your previous systems last so long. It'll be nice bringing it all under one roof. If you have any specific questions or concerns, you're more than welcome to PM me.

  • Just to let you know the knickname for Infusionsoft is Confusion Soft

If a million options and complete control is what your after, Infusionsoft is awesome.
if looking at and trying to decipher a million options makes your eyes cross
and your brain go numb, then your going to be in a world or hurt.

    • Very valuable, thanks... I'm actually the second, so this is a good thing in my eyes.
    • I have been thinking about using Infusionsoft for my local offline service company. The problem is that I am not very tech savy, and it seems to be a very difficult system to master. I don't mind paying their start up, but theirpackages are not a good value for $2k. I tried using aweber, but I did not like the double opt in, and I could not get the webforms on my wordpress site where I wanted them.

    • Infusionsoft is a great system. I had the chance to work with the email and list management part for awhile and it was pretty cool. PM'd you about it.
  • I have an Infusionsoft question. I have a membership service..all recurring billing. Currently we use Paypal Web Payments Pro as the merchant account and PayPal standard as well. The problem I am running into with my current cart is with affiliates. Since Paypal recurring payments on Paypal side, not cart side, we have to manually adjust payments by going into paypal for each customer to calculate affiliate commissions. Total pain. I need a system that will track all payments and make sure my affiliates are up to date. Does Infusionsoft do this with paypal payments on recurring billing?

    Thanks

    • I've been using Infusionsoft for a little over 6 months now... While Infusionsoft has a wonderfully integrated affiliate, membership site, and auto-billing systems, the problem is actually on the PayPal side. Reoccurring payments via PayPal don't have a way to report back to Infusionsoft that the payment is made and thus can't do automation when it happens. The solution is to change your PayPal account to Payflow (I've been using this) which is basically a fully functional merchant gateway from PayPal - you can then process credit cards like the big kids. Once you have that, you can tell Infusionsoft to only accept "credit card" transactions for the membership site's auto-billing. That makes it so your auto-billing, affiliate accounting, and membership site control work as you want, all integrated together. A few words of caution: converting your entire business over to Infusionsoft is no small thing. Think about this for a second and you'll realize how much work is involved in the data import for your membership clients, affiliates, etc. The good news is that (for a fee) you can have the techs at Infusionsoft do this for you. The awesomeness is once it's all done and everything is integrated and working auto-magically.

Feel free to send me a message if you want to chat more.
  • Are there any other options like Span6 and Infusionsoft? But less expensive?

    • Yes, Premium Web Cart...but their customer service sucks so bad I HIGHLY suggest moving away from them.

  • Span6 and PWB are probably the two cheapest options on the market.

I think Span6 is offering free setup right now as well, which saves you some good coin. If you're not doing large volume, you may want to talk to customer support and see if they can cut you a deal. Once you are doing good volume, then this software is a great deal.
  • Yep, after all of this time I have the same conclusion. My other setup was better as I have to end up paying consultants thousands of dollars to get my affiliate tracking to work with Paypal recurring payments. Was a mess. Have 2 Infusionsoft accounts and will have no more.
