Wordpress Help Needed

Everything was working fine!

I am using WordPress 3.0.1, the Blue Zinfandel Enhanced 2.0 theme.

Last night, I was trying the plugin WP Super Popup (link below):

WordPress › WP Super Popup « WordPress Plugins

And my posting ability went berserk!

I couldn't delete the plugin from the dashboard. When I did the same from the back-end, I cannot submit posts. It's showing as 'submit for review'. The permalinks ain't coming! And although blogs are getting posted at some dynamic URL such as ....?post=821...they are getting saved as drafts at the dashboard.

Completely clueless what to do! Please help.

You can delete the plugin files via FTP or cPanel File Manager.

I already deleted the plugin...but it still isn't letting me post. Calling for 'submit for review'.

I tried to change the theme even, reinstall it, but still ain't working. Even if there was some virus in that plugin file, will that have affected the total WordPress setup?

You should delete the tables of the script from phpmyadmin. But be careful about that.

Maybe that's your problem, i.e. that your WordPress version is too old - have you tried updating to 3.2.1 (since that's the maximum WP version the plugin currently is compatible with)? Be sure to make backups first, though!

    1. Update your WP
    2. Clean up the database

    And you'll be in business
