Hi ,Warriors

I am looking for an open mind and some guidance...I am currently considering starting my own traffic exchange program...And based on the developer facts there is a minimal amount of time an the admin. aspect of this...What i am asking is ,What type of work (in hours labor)would be required to run this software if we had a massive amount of members joining 10,000 or 30,000 or 50,000+ or more

Thank You

Robert

it would all depend on the script you used.
I am ussuning you are going to go for one of the commercial traffic exchange scripts like ttp://www.trafficexchangescript.com

I would think that most of your time should be spent promoting the site, rather than dealling with signup. If the latter is the case, then change scripts. It should all be automated..

    take care

thank you for the heads up .But what is your opinion on this site if we wre going to promote this sight to the extreme ? Do you think this site would make it in our latest online environment? And do you think realistically we would be able to bring in a significant amount of new signups in the first 6 months....Also if you have any other suggestions or ideas i would be very greatful...We plan on sinking quite a bit of $$$into the advert of this exchange ...yes it is a commercial script..
      Thank You

        Hi Robert,

I think more people than ever will be coming online to look for ways to make money, and this is when traffic exchanges could really take off.
In my opinion, newbies rather than seasoned IM'er will be the biggest users of traffic exchanges as most seasoned IM'ers know how to create their own traffic so, they are unlikely to sign up.
Targetting the new IM'ers will work well, maybe doing a fair bit of offline marketing (such as in magazine etc) will work the best.

I have heard of quite a few people who run traffic exchanges that make really good money. Some of them sell advertising on the site, so that a website can get exposure on the site without any return effort required.

The mind can run wild with ideas if you have the traffic and the traffic will only come becuase of promotion.
I really believe that offline promotions will work the best, as most newbies won't go online and start typing in "web traffic" anc cliking on adwords.
But will respond to ads in newspapers and other related publications..

        Hope this helps

        Bruce

Most of your time should be spent on promoting the exchange. This is the most important part of running a traffic exchange. If you cut corners here, your exchange will probably never make it off the ground. But if done properly, you'll never have to worry about traffic or signups forever.

I can't remember of a great Traffic Exchange script I used before, it was something starting with Ven... something, but it was good, expensive tho.

    cheers!

I did some research about all those scripts your can buy/rent/whatsoever...

When you want to be successful in this nearly dead market you need a custom script... maybe like the TimTech stuff...

I was thinking about the same stuff, too... but coding my own script.

I am frontend developer, I know my stuff pretty well, the only thing I needed was a good PHP dev.
