Redirect to specific page AFTER aff link

I have searched the WF high and low trying to find this answer but I can't so I'm going to ask here. I don't like to clog up the forum with questions but I really need help on this one.

I want to send traffic to my affiliate link right... but the page it lands on is not the page I want them to see. I want the traffic to land a specific page of the site but to still go via my affiliate link.

Does that make sense?

I'm not talking about a normal redirect code or cloaking or anything like that. I have seen others doing it but I can't remember any sites that use it to go and copy the code from.

It's something along the lines of:

http://domain.com/affiliateid[something in here]url=http://domain.com/desiredpage

Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't even find it on google.... normally I can find ANYTHING on google!

Cheers

Ben

That doesn't sound right to me, even if you managed to bypass the initial landing page by all means, are you sure that your lead will be still counted? Better check if your affiliate manager can help you on that...

Yeah it does sound a bit strange, I know. But I have seen other sites doing it. I just wish I could remember which ones so that I could copy their code.

u can just give that particular page link to evryone or invite evryone to that page only by providing the particular page link or u can set that page as default as index page of ur website.

I think what your looking for is Deep Linking Affiliate Codes. Some affiliate programs offer them, others dont.

Ah yes, Deep Linking. I knew I had heard of it before. So not all affiliate programs have that option then? Makes sense.

      Thanks Nochek

Correct. It depends on the affiliate platform and/or vendor as to whether you can do this or not. With ClickBank, for example, if you send your prospects straight to the vendor's checkout page via your aff link, then you will only get a commission if the prospect purchases right then (in other words, a cookie won't be set in that situation, so if they come back and purchase at a later time, then you won't get the commission).

Every situation is different though, so if you want to link to a different page on the vendors site, check with them first to make sure that you will still get credited for doing that.
