JVManager help needed

I have searched the forum for help with JVManager 1 and found a whole lot of great stuff but nothing about my particular concerns at this time although I might have missed something. Generally, I can figure out most programs and do whatever customization needed but this one is just so different that I haven't been able to get a handle on the data flow processes. Written in CGI and PHP makes it difficult for me to locate the proper files for editing.

I want to make the "Powered By JVManager" at the bottom of my generated pages a link with my affiliate ID in it. Hopefully this is not too great a task.

Also, I am looking for tutorials on using the program for OTO's with Clickbank integration and customizing the look and feel of the program. Sorry if that is asking too much.

I have been able to get the basic Clickbank setup working but I can't figure out how to handle the OTO.

If you know of a source for more information or instructions I would be grateful. I have the manual for the product printed out beside me and it is pretty good as a reference but it doesn't cover the depth that I need.

Thanks for your input.

  • Hi,

I have answered your help desk ticket on this.

  • Hi ,

Can you send me the same OTO information? I'm looking to purchase JV Manager also but OTO's are something I require to handle.

    Thanks

    • Both JVM 1 and JVM II handle OTO's very nicely. My only problem has been in trying to get the flow right so that I could also include an upsell (or downsell) whether or not the customer bought the OTO.

If you want any info on my experience so far, let me know (PM) and I will be glad to get back to you. Heck, we might even get to talk on Skype if it would help.
  • Hi Alex,

I can't really, I pointed JQ to a tutorial video in the JVManager members area which you can only access after you buy it.

It was an instructional video - what queries do you have?

  • Hi JQ,

Glad I helped you become an expert ;-)

  • Hi, I do not know if anyone can help me but I have just bought JvManager1 and I am having problems installing it. What I have done so far

    (1) Uploaded the cgi file into the cgi-bin directory.
    (2) Changed the permissions to 755
    (3) Created the database and user and linked them
    (4) Run the script which execute OK and asked for the server, database name, username

    (5) Click install and get the following error starigt away

  • Hi Ken,

Only thing I can suggest is to contact the person you bought it from, if they are a genuine reseller - they would have had to agree to provide support to their customers.
