  • I've tried a few of these for my apparel company and none of them are ideal, really. This is definitely an area where the wordpress plugin community is lacking. They simply can't compare to the functionality of a proper ecommerce solution.

That said, GetShopped/WP e-commerce is probably your best bet. PHPpurchase is worth looking into too, depending on your needs.
  • PHPurchase was bought by Cart66 and I'm using it on 2 sites and really like it because you can put the cart button on any post or page. If you have thousands of products, it would not be a good solution however.

I also just started a new garden products site using the Clip Cart theme along with Cart66 and I'm excited about this combo. The theme uses product post types to build the product pages as posts which will allow you to feature them on the home page.
  • I recently discovered a nice little WordPress plugin called Dukapress. You can use it both with normal products and with affiliate links. I found it easier to setup than other plugins I've tried.
  • WP e-commerce is one of the most used out there in this space, and it has a lot more features than eShop. To say that this is merely a "plugin" in the conventional usage of the term is a disservice to this amazing WordPress-based e-commerce solution.
  • There are a lot of e-Commerce plugin to monetize your wordpress blog. One of the fresh ecommerce pluginis "WP e-Commerce", just visit official wordpress site, and find this plugin for your blog. Hope you can maximize your blog and get huge revenue.
  • Just use woocomerce + wootique themes from woothemes ... It's free ...

    • The "best" is a highly subjective term. What's "best" for other may not be the "best" for you. As far as I know, there's no such thing as the best of this, the best of that. It all comes down to what you want to accomplish and find a solution that can help you achieve that with the most minimal fuss.

  • I use "WordPress Ecommerce" as it is free and there are lot of flexibility to work with it...
And I also you a paid one when needed some specialized features. The name of that paid plugin is "WpEstore"
  • This isn't my site, but I found it helpful in my search for an eCommerce plugin: WordPress eCommerce Plugins | Webbish Designer

I ended up choosing Cart66 Love it so far!
  • Cashie Commerce is a pretty neat one.
  • i am using WP e-Commerce and quite happy with its facilities and performance. Its easy to customize too so i would recommend it
  • Woocommerce..
  • woocommerce very easy too use
  • I have used two, and in my opinion both are really good. WP eStore is great for selling digital content like videos, music, PDFs, photos, etc. It has some good templates and it's pretty easy to configure.
I am equally happy with Shopp, which seems to be getting better and better. The devs are very proactive with updates and implementing new features. I also like the Add-on integrations, which covers everything from PayPal Express integration to Postage calculators from AustPost, FedEx, etc.

  • I personally prefer avoiding Wordpress for ecomm sites and would go down the Magneto Go route.
  • I'd recommend Woocommerce for the plugin in Wordpress but why don't use Magento. It's more direct approach for ecommerce.
  • Actually I didn't use any ecommerce plugin but
I have seen most of internet users told about woocommerce
they told this one is rocking . I think you should try this one.
