Configure server to let send mails of scripts

Anyone please tell me how to configure my centos server in order to permit me send mails from my srcipts,do I have to install something via ssh,if so bring commands please ,thank you priorly

  • As far as I know, you should be able to send e-mail if you have php installed, and use the php_mailer method. Do you have exim installed? That is the traditional mail program that WHM installs to allow you to send e-mails.

    If you can, you might also want to setup your reverse DNS if you haven't already done so, as a lot of domains will block you if your reverse DNS is not setup.

    Are these bash scripts, or what?

    • Someone beat me too it! Reverse DNS! You may also need a smarthost if you are going to configure something like exim

    Exim dear I told you Im on kloxo,well so I learned from you I got to reverse my dns so my domains dont block me that might be the case Im facing right now.
    This situation happens to me on all my scripts,e.g.
    -new user account confirmation mail
    -blocks tell a friend
    -order mails too

    it makes sense since publuc servers like yahoo are programmed to find out rdns,Im talking about this with my host but since I got two ip addresses,is it possible to do a couple of rdns?
