What does external mean in blog comments?

Hi,

After I have upgraded my blog to WP. 2.7 there are "external" added to the end of the links on blog comments. And it leads that link to the pagee not found page o to the wrong page on that link.

Why this happens and how I can remove that, so when visitor comments with the links, it would work properly.

  • External usually means that the link is at another URL. It's not an internal link to another webpage at your site.

    Other than that... I'm not seeing anything like this at any of my WordPress (2.7 or 2.7.1) blogs. :confused:

    Can you provide a link to where you see this problem? Or, are you talking about something you see on your dashboard screen?

    For example, this is one of the posts where links in comments don't work properly. When you click the links it will go to nothing found page on that domain instead the original page.

    External Link tag was introduced to stop comment SpAM...i.e. nofollow
    link tag was automatically added to all external links....

    BUT as far as error in your blog is...

    It is something related to external tag code in wordpress files broken...
    did you installed any do-follow or no-follow comment plugin, or any plugin
    which has to do anything with Comments? maybe that plugin has conflicting
    code with wp 2.7 ....

    Yes, I have installed Do follow plugin to remove nofollow from the comments. What should I do now to remove external too?
