I used WampServer for almost 3 years, than i discovered XAMPP and i think is better than wampserver.
Now i use xampp.

Have you checked the components of the wamp server are correctly installed? First make this sure.
I am pretty confused that why you opted for wamp when you have Apache and tomcat at the first place.

At first, why don't you try the portable (lite) version of Wamp?

If you still experiment issue, you may try another set, which also has a portable version, and that I use for years now, for it is great:
EasyPHP | Download EasyPHP : Get the latest version of WAMP package EasyPHP (PHP 5, Apache 2, MySQL 5, PhpMyAdmin, Xdebug... + modules)
The 5.3.8.1 version is more stable than the 5.3.9 one.
What is cool with Easyphp, is that you may choose to not run both the engines, Php & MySql, as services, but as regular softwares

its worth making sure your OS is fully updated.. I think last time I had this problem, a .net update resolved it. try googling the error message.

First click on Download file and then follow the instructions. The WampServer package is delivered with latest releases of Apache, MYSQL and PHP.
