Facebook Fan Page Programming?

Is there such a thing as Facebook Fan Page programming?

I have a client interesting in creating what appears to be an application or 'fan page' on Facebook that is more complex than just a page - think of an index of Warriors that people could post pictures and comments about, with possible advertising.

Are fan pages relegated to "brochures" with simple posts picture uploads like on their Facebook profile pages? Or can something more extensive be created?

      That can be done through creating a Facebook application (see link to Facebook API above). The feature can be presented in a separate page which is actually implemented using iframe. The actual codes/files can be hosted in your own server.
