We run a web site on a VPS and in order to access it you have to enter the complete IPORT address.
We want to add a domain name instead, how can we do that ?
We not using any cpanel on the VPS.

Thanks in advanced,
Tom

  • What web server software are you using on your VPS? Apache?

    • Hi there,
You need to add zone file to add a domain. You can do it by using SSH. It's also possible to do it from your VPS container panel (virtuozzo type panel - not cPanel or Plesk). You can even install free control panel to manage these kind of things (knowledge in command line is required).

michael_gourlay asked you what web software you are using. This info is required to give you a step by step instructions.

Please answer that info first to get further help.
