Passing tracking-link IDs to autoresponder
Howdy folks!
I have a Q about tracking-link IDs and how I can pass them to my autoresponder database (in both Aweber and GetResponse).
Here's what I'd like to do...
Let's say I have a link, any link, and I append a TID to it (for example, I have a banner on a site (called ABC) and a link from that banner: "xxx-mylink-xxx/?tid=120x600bannersiteABC").
And I want to be able to track how many people click on that banner and then ultimately end up on my autoresponder.
How do I do that?
And will it "cancel" (or screw with) the tracking if, for example, they click on the banner, arrive at my site (which is not a squeeze in this example), surf around and read some articles, and then, finally, opt-in?
I can't believe I haven't learnt how to do this sooner. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
