i installed wordpress localy and everything's fine. but when i try
to downloads a plugin or update wordpress it asks for FTP info
wich i have no idea what is it, anyone can help me with this?
i want to work with it localy.

      This never happened to me on xampp (are you using this?). Are you logged in with the admin user on WordPress? And by admin I mean the first user created, as you can later create other users and make them admins too.

    I use xampp on a Mac, and for me, the FTP username and password I enter into Wordpress is the same I use to log into the Mac (which is an admin account). Make sure your WordPress folders are writable, and make sure your local FTP server is running. And like websitecamp says, I'm logged into WordPress using the admin account.

      You can download plugins etc and then add them manually to the wordpress plugin folder. Same goes for updating wordpress too; but in this case you have to overwrite existing files.

      I run a ubuntu server locally and you need to setup ftp as it doesn't run 'out of the box'. Maybe that is the trouble with your local server - ftp needs to be setup to work.
