Which one is Easier to Install Wordpress or Facebook Apps?

Hi, my programmers have been working on two apps for me, one for Facebook and one for WP.

Facebook seems to be a pain to install with having to figure out how to friend someone and then waiting for them to do the same or to figure out how to, Facebook can be a puzzle for a newbie, rather like PayPal, with a forum?

With Wordpress, l get the download and install! I haven't downloaded or installed my app yet, but at the moment it seems a lot easier.

So, is this observation accurate or am l missing some pieces??? :confused::confused::confused:

  • Yes you are right. Wordprss is very much easier and also very powerful tool to design or customize your site.
    It saves so much time but also have some limitations.

      I thought as much. I have just loaded, the WP app, and eventhough it needs tweaking, it was super easy to install.

      I will probably still do Facebook apps, but will lean more towards WP!
  • Yup. Wordpress is great. That's because it's open source and has had many developers fixing it through time, creating awesome plugins, themes, etc.

    Facebook on the other hand, is just a giant, like Microsoft. If you want to play their game, u have to play by their rules. But it's much easier to profit from Facebook.

    The best choice is to use both for your business. Focus on what you're good at, and hire or setup partnerships with those that have the skills that u need. I think it's easy to find designers on here who would do your wordpress for you, likewise you can easily find facebook experts ;-) on here.

  • Facebook Apps are a pain in the butt. I suggest you go for Wordpress and have more power over what you're coding.

    • Yep, already doing that, but l have so far found that, l have to cattle-prod my programmer every step of the way!!! Which can be a pain.

      He may be cheap, but telling him l want A, B, C done, and having him tell me it is done, and can you please release the next payment, eventhough he has done half, is a pain.

      I may try a more expensive one next time, at least if l tell him l want this done he may actually do it.

      He may even do it quickly, so l can cut down on emails and Skype chats? Anyway time will tell.

      And l do do all the graphics for the WP app, or like to, and then hire someone to do the coding.

      Yep, already know that one, my other programmer will one day complete my other app,. Understandable Facebook is more profitable, because it is a pain.

      It can't be all fun and games for IM,s. :rolleyes:

  • WordPress is well known for its easy set up. Under most conditions setting up WordPress is a very easy procedure and requires less than five moments to finish. Many web serves now provide resources to instantly set up WordPress for you.
  • You can install wordpress then use it as a canvas app for facebook. It's simple : they will integrate your wp into an "invisible" iframe and that will make it as an app
