Can the PPC System be Duplicated?

Ok.. this might be one of those "hat too big for my head" kinda question.

Can the PPC (pay per click) System be duplicate?
Means we create a platform.... (not search engine)
Which we integrate the PPC system into it. (not using Yahoo, or Google or any other PPC. But our own PPC system)

I'm looking for answers, that are towards the what programming would we be using.

Thank you

You are asking if you can create your own ppc system?

Well, yes. But you would need a large network of sites willing to display your ads, and a pretty hefty server configuration to handle the load of serving those ad.

Then you would need to think about attracting customers willing to pay for clicks.

The technical side of this idea is probably quite simple in comparison to the logistics of attracting a large enough user base...

It will only be shown on my network... well.. that's the initial plan..

As for further expanding into other sites... That will be up for future consideration.

Or do you mean that you just want to show ads (yours or ones you've sold) on your own sites?
There is OpenX for that, Ad server solution for publishers, advertisers & networks | OpenX amongst other free solutions.

What I'm thinking was setting up a PPC server... And sell it to others.

This OpenX you've provided will it do that?

    hmmm.. Here's what I'm thinking.

Setting up a local platform, (directory or such....)

Then open up ad spaces, and selling these ad spaces using a PPC format.

Of course this will include the beauty of the currently Well known Adwords

Where advertisers can create an account, and set up their own campaign and such

Well yes, that is what OpenX can be used for, which you would have discovered if you had gone to their site and read about it.

Agree. Open X is a very good option. You can also give isocket.com a try. The biggest problem is, how fast can your network outgrow your monthly bandwidth expense =)
