Can't get text to wrap around image in wordpress - But it works in visual mode

8 replies
Hello,
I am setting up a new wordpress blog and seem to be having a few issues. In visual mode the text does wrap around the image in my post but when I view the page it is not wrapped. I have no idea how to fix. I tried a few things I found online but it didn't help.

Does anyone know how to solve this. Here is my site:

edit: problem solved - removed url

Thanks,
Mike

    Every time I have aproblem with something like this, I contact the help desk or go on live chat. Most of the time the problem is fixed quite soon. There are many tutorials on WOrdpress itself.
    1: Did you update the page before you viewed it?
    2: try not working in visual mode, but in the other mode to start with.

    From what I can tell its placing pretty much everything inside its own paragraph <p> making it hard to get different parts do different things.. hard to say from this end without actually seeing whats on that html page before it loads..

    its not really a quick code fix, if you're not busy in about an hour grab me on skype and i'll be happy to help ya out for a bit.

        if you do not want to edit that much, I'd get the image + link outside of the
        <p><strong> </strong></p> and see what happens, you need to be in HTML mode of course to do this.

        if it still doesnt't get to the left, then I think there's some missmatch in your stylesheets.

        quick way around would be use inline CSS eg.

        <a href="yoururl" style="float:left;margin:0 10px 10px 0;"><img src="yourimgsource.jpg" /></a>

        but like said, try to get that image + A tag out of the <p><strong> first and see what happens.

        hope this will help.

    If you can share the url of your site then it would be easier for us to say something about this.
    As far as we have a look at this we must have something to say about this.

    Glad to see you have it fixed. If you want your images to wrap without having to mess with the HTML, add this to your style.css
    Code:
    img.centered {     display: block;     margin-left: auto;     margin-right: auto;     }
     img.alignright {     padding: 4px;     margin: 0 0 2px 7px;     display: inline;     }
    img.alignleft {     padding: 4px;     margin: 0 7px 2px 0;     display: inline;     }
     .alignright {     float: right;     }
     .alignleft {     float: left;     }
