Nope, and nor the permalink settings were touched. It seams that this problem appeared after the last wordpress update.
I've tried some suggested "tricks" but nothing worked, I guess that I'll have to go back to the previous version of wordpress or wait for the nest update.

I think you need editing only ,from the theme .
If you are a php expert or you have a normal knowledge about php then it is easy for you.

Did you tried it in different browser???
Sometimes the changes may not work in all the browsers.
Try this first.
