Seen this link posted up around the internet quite a bit lately and just popped over for a look, seems like a good learning platform.. took the css test just for kicks..
Result: 20 of 20 100% Perfect!!!
Time Spent 6:10

Tests are great for letting you know where you need to improve, I already know the php one isnt going to look as shiny for me. keep it in mind like i did for when you're randomly browsing the net

Yup!! I completely agree with you. But still i feel W3schools is good site for a newbie. People just browse the whole site and try to practice the sample codes on their localhost. If they run well its good and if it don't then they will think they have done something wrong. But they wont think that the code itself is wrong.

W3Schools is really a web site developer's website, along with lessons as well as referrals associated with internet improvement topics, such as HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, OR NET, OR NET. INTERNET, as well as SQL. W3Schools is actually totally free, and it is financed via textual content as well as show marketing. The actual lessons as well as referrals online and also the associated signal tend to be amazing. However it is just helpful for beginners not really for that experts.

Please avoid W3Schools at all costs. It is outdated, misinformative, and generally leads to bad coding habits in the long-run. I stopped recommending it to people about a year ago - it just doesn't cut it.

As the majority of people have said, it is kinda out of date. However I found when starting out at uni, getting the very basics under my belt, they had really easy to understand examples and guides on how to get the basics up and running.

Definitely a winner if you are starting out and need that initial push but very quickly you can move beyond that and find that you need a site which has something more substantial.

It is outdated and has lots of incorrect info.

It would be better to find something recent.

If you are new wanting to build a cute little hobby site, then it is fine.

You certainly won't learn to build anything substantial like a complex banking website from there.

W3Schools is a website developer's portal, with tutorials and references relating to web development subjects, including HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, and SQL. W3Schools is free of charge, and is funded through text and display advertising. The tutorials and references on the website and the related code are proprietary. The W3Schools CSS lessons teach beginners to web development about styling their page content. W3Schools also provide free lessons for JavaScript, PHP, SQL and ASP. Additionally, W3Schools offer a range of qualifications that users are able to get. HTML document writing, and then proceeds to give an advanced look at HTML followed by reference charts. It also includes sections that allow the user to "try it yourself" in a split code-page view, and see what each new piece of information changes in the web page, in realtime. Overall, W3Schools is very informative site for learning about designing and development but only for beginners not for professionals.

W3School is well -known for learning. Several users can follow this site to learn various designs and development languages such as HTML, PHP, CSS and ASP.NET. It is one of the best ways for beginners or startup to learn. You can not master designing through this site, for that you need to refer to more tutorials and need to regularly practice.
