Open University Course

Hey guys, figured this would be the most logical place to post this.

Basically, I've been looking into an Open University course (Foundation Degree) based around Software Development. I've been a freelance web designer for just over a year now so I'm familiar with coding and such, although I didn't really know PHP, more jQuery/Javascript.

But what I'm wanting to ask is do you really think it'll be worth paying for and studying for (It's a 4 year part-time course, 3 year full time I think, could be wrong) and if it wasn't worth it, would Networking be?

Thanks!

  • The best part about internet if that you can learn everything coding wise for free. Go here for free courses: Codecademy - Learn to code

I think paying for it is useless when there are so many good sources for free.
  • I've already done quite a bit on Codecademy, it's how I brushed up on my jQuery/Javascript but this is more of something that'll make it easier to get jobs in the future, especially if it's full time work. Since nearly everywhere I have applied for as a job has asked for some kind of qualification

I think you don't need this because you are a freelancer ,by the way check your grammar, not wanting ok
  • I will suggest you to join distance learning that would be better.
