How is this HTML Backlink different from this one ??

In other wards what does the target="_blank" in the first one mean ?? Does it affect whether you get crawled by the spiders or not ??

Thanks,
Rob

target="_blank" means that the link should open in a new tab/window (instead of the current one). It's smart to use that type of link on your own sites when linking out, because when someone clicks that link and leaves your site, they are still (technically) on your site as well. So it will increase your "time on site" stats... which is definitely a good thing from an SEO perspective.

As was stated, it just opens the link in a new window- it has nothing to do with indexing.
