Is A short code recognized by Google?

He Guys,

Probably a noob question but I am using wordpress and I use short codes in this format:[hello].

The visitors who click that link are taken to Youtube.

Does Google see that I am linking to youtube? (and credit this as a outbound link?)

  • Yes, Google will see it as a regular link. The shortcode is converted to a link prior to the page being fully rendered in the browser.
