Having trouble learning Java.

Hey everyone, I am doing an introduction to programming class at uni an I am having trouble. I got loops down pat but then we moved to methods and arrays an I am totally lost. Does anyone know where I could get some good tutorials on these two topics at least. Youtube videos don't really give good explanations of how the functions work.

Cheers

  • Rather than looking into the You Tubes it would be better if a website containing the contents of these two topics of Java would be concerned, its because they are better to understand. I would try out to make a search for this thing related and will inform you soon.
  • java2s . com
    zetcode . com
    java-tips . org

    more ... just Google it
  • This a very greate resource to start Java :
    chortle.ccsu.edu/CS151/cs151java.html
  • Buy a introductory book about Java, or take a look at Oracle's tutorials . You can also ask your questions in StackOverflow.com, many experts there are willing to answer your questions
  • I don't suggest messing with straight Java. You can get the same results in a lot less time using jQuery. Check out this tutorial:

    jQuery Tutorial

Also, check out the Head First jQuery and, most important, practice your coding on www.jsfiddle.com. You'll learn a lot faster by fumbling around with the code yourself.

    Good luck
