Text Formats

This may not be right place to post this but its kind of techy related so someone may know!

I have had an article written from a guy on Fiverr. When I open the Word document it's putting spelling errors on nearly all the words even though they appear correct. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I'm assuming its something to do with the character encoding or something but I'm at a loss!

Have tried to convert in Notepad++. When I paste the text in as UTF8 it looks ok, when I convert to ANSI some characters are question marks.

  • Characters are question marks because they are out of the ANSI standard. Hence the need to use the extended UTF8 standard. Im not sure what your question is?

    • Sorry not explained myself very well.
I had an article written on Fiverr which was delivered in .Docx. When I open the document in Word it marks all the text as spelling errors. If I copy the text into Wordpress it marks all the text as spelling errors. How can I make that text act as if I had type it into Word/Wordpress as normal. Note that the text is in English.
  • Just run spell check and replace all.....

    • Lol! Thanks but that's he problem! It doesnt recognise any of the words!!!!

  • Hi, cybernetuk
What happens if you try selecting that text and changing "Set Language" option to English US or UK in Tools->Language (or similar, depending on your MS Word version)? Or does it say it's in English already in the Language menu?
