Hi by the way I am not a programmer but I bought a gantry template called Activity and managed to set up my website with my content whilst upgrading to Joomla 2.5 .

I need a little bit of help setting up the K2 Blog on my website which can be accessed on the Homepage from a GK 4 tab. I cant seem to access or link a template blog to the tab or know how to set up the blog and enable users, etc. Its a big learning curve for me to do this myself and I could do it but it would take me hours.

I also installed a Form Maker module from web dorado and this clashes somehow with joomlas own contact form. Web dorado said they couldnt resolve this and gave me a refund. The 'action after submission' doesnt work in Form maker and this is just a php coding problem that needs fixing, I think?

when viewing my website in IE some of the images on the home page dont appear. Need a solution for this.

I would appreciate any comments/help advice and dont mind paying someone to sort all of this out.

    I've never used K2, so I'm posting just out of curiosity... What does it bring you that you can't do without it ? I do all my websites, including blogs, with Joomla and I've only heard about it, never tried it, as I've got all I need without it.

    As for your contact form, there's really no need to pay for that... I very rarely use paid components. If you have some time to learn then ChronoForms is powerful, if not then Proforms Basic is easier but more limited.

      As K2 came with the template, I guess its easier to use the blog facility rather than set up an alternative blog. Have never set-up a blog before so new to this. K2 can link to other articles, video, etc. Have nearly managed to work out how to set it up.

      I managed to install Fox contact which is free and very basic but good enough for what I want and it worked great.

  • K2 is not a blog but is a content construction.but you can download easy blog or Joom blog which is a popular blog and support to Joomla 2.5. I am working on Adodis Blog.
