Using Joomla for Emeeting Dating Software

Hello Warriors,

am about setting up a person directory and want to use eMeeting dating software as it has most of the features I want. But on a second thought, I'm wondering if Joomla, extensions (paid & free) can perform most of the features. I need some enlightenment.

I think if Joomla can, it will be a better equivalent so I can have control of upgrades and what I really want.

    And what are the features you're looking for?
    About a year ago I was asked to create a dating site and found that apparently (at the time, I haven't checked since then) the best component for that was one from a company known as "The Factory" Joomla Extensions by theFactory - but I'm not 100% sure that's what you're looking for.
    Anyway, the best place to start looking is the official JED Home - Joomla! Extensions Directory - I suggest using the advanced search to get components compatible with your Joomla version (if starting from scratch it should be Joomla 2.5).

    • Joomla or Wordpress should give you most functions you need. If you go the Joomla way then check the extensions and which versions they support. Just to be on the safe side.
