How to get email adresses from joomla .sql database

Hello,

Years ago I dropped my website after google adsense decided to block it.
I also lost all the files and fortunately just found the database .sql file.

I would like to retrieve the email addresses from the database file, How can I do it please?

  Just opened it with excel, I'm trying to copy the emails but still struggling, need help please.

If you are familiar with phpMyAdmin and have a web host you can hook it up to you can import the .sql file. Then run a query to select only the email field on the table.

  If you have linux machine or console you could use grep.
  
  grep -E -o "\b[a-zA-Z0-9.-]+@[a-zA-Z0-9.-]+\.[a-zA-Z0-9.-]+\b" filename.sql
  
  Might have to add something for the commas if there isn't any spaces around the addresses.
