how long did it take you to get the work flow of PHP down

Im a designer but i really, really need to get database education down. it seems as if that is what is holding allot of my ideas back. The fact that i have allot of data and no place to store it.


i need a PHP programmer, how much do you cost?
and how long did it take you to get the nuts and bolts down?

      Get a couple of good books: a php and mysql reference book, and a beginners guide to php and mysql book with some examples you can follow.

      Work through some examples and you should be able to get the hang of the basics in a couple of weeks, then move up from there.

      To become proficient will take you longer, after years of programming I still learn new things all the time.

      The trick is to work on small stuff that interests you at first, then move on to more complex projects.
