Login to my vps control panel

I would like to know if logging my veportal panel via my nodes ip wont cause security holes like being scanned by a hacker?

    You could be key logged anywhere, so yes. Use two step verification if possible with veportal if you worry about account security.

    • There's several different ways that the information passed between your client computer and the virtual private system can be 'hijacked' or scanned. If your portal is a web-based application (like cPanel or Webmin), then one of the most important things to do is secure your HTTP connections via SSL. If the portal is web based and does not use the HTTPS protocol, the information (such as your username and password) can be seen in-transit to the server.

      Another method of compromising your username and password's security is the same as above, if there's a key logger installed on your computer as a piece of malware or a virus, your username and password can be intercepted via those means. I would recommend enabling and securing your portal with an SSL certificate (self-signed or authority-signed) and make sure there's no lingering malicious software on your client computer.

    and paying a definite antivirus suscription like norton for my computer SPECIALLY using Windows7
