Working with Affiliate Databases

Hello All

I am putting a site together for a particular niche. In this niche I will be working with only one vendor through CJ.

As it stands I can easily build a review site, but want to know about databases for products.

This vendor offers a database of all products. Are these easy to implement on a site and will they work with a WP site or do i need to make a static website.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would use a static site for this. Yes it would be easy assuming the database is built correctly and has good data for sorting such as product categories, product name, unique id, etc. If you know how to make simple MySql queries, you can use the database to build a full on site.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about MySql or any other coding other than some HTML

Do you think xsite pro would be good software for the site build?

      Thanks again

I think you'll do some research and buy a software that will enable you create the products.
If you're using WordPress that would be a plugin that will store products as custom blog post types. OR you could hire somebody to do it according to your specs.

Are you using WordPress? Have you tried qSandbox yet?

What do you want to do with the information? Just display it on a page, or modify it?

Does this vendor provide any information on the database, or how to use it?

You can code any kind of site to read and display the contents of a database, so you should be able to develop a custom page for a wordpress site to show the contents of the database.
