PDF Encrypt Software/Tool...

Hi,

so far I have been using FreePDF to encrypt my pdf files. This tool is still working as long as I leave my docs offline but as soon as I load it up to a server the content not only is free to copy for everyone but also makes all links unklickable.

Does anyone know a solution or tool on how to encrypt (passwort + copy/paste restriction) my pdf and still have the links in it clickable?

Thanks in advance.

  • Have you tried OpenOffice? It's free.
    Apache OpenOffice

You can save a doc file as PDF, using just the Open Office buil-in PDF exporter.

  • Your best bet is to do a google search because there are hundreds of free and open source pdf programs for this.
I use Acrobat Pro so I can't speak for any of the good free one's out there.
You can get a free 30 day trial of Acrobat though.
