Is this possible with an app?

I'm brainstorming an idea and have no knowledge of app/web development or anything like that.

I assume it would be a database of some sort. Businesses will get their own log in for the "app" which they can customize with their product offerings and prices. This would be updated by them saving the changes and, I guess, downloading an update to their mobile device such as an ipad.

Once mobile (offline) can access their information and input customer information to be saved.

Once again I have no knowledge to know if this is even possible. Any thoughts or concerns about this?

Thanks

Yes it can be possible. but problem is that every time every one need to download complete database whether it is required or not. But I like your idea . it will be better if downloading database is prevented every time.

"dennyrichs" I agree with you its really nice idea if there is no need to download database every time.

Should be really quick to download database everytime IF they are not sending large amounts of data (just text).

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do. But the responses you have gotten so far don't seem to make much sense. Of course you wouldnt download the complete database everytime you "synced" you would just update the local copy with the changes.

Also, all data is "text" at its basic level so not sure what that last guy means.

Are you trying to learn how to code and write this yourself? If so provide some more details and I can point you in the right direction.
