WP Plugin or Script--Legal and possible?

Okay, I'm not a programmer. I wish I could do HTML, PHP, etc. But I can't. I was wondering though, in an affiliate review site, can you set up a script legally that grabs reviews from Amazon's review pages for specific products and uploads them real time?

If not, is there a way to get some kind of script or is there a plugin already that allows people to (in a proper, aesthetically pleasing way) to review products on your site?

Any help you programmers could give me, would be AMAZING.

  • I think that Amazon has an API, so there must be some examples out there.
An API is some kind of "door" that is open for everybody to use with programming languages.

Now what kind of data you can access with Amazon's API, I don't know. You'll have to search a little bit. Look on Google for "Amazon API", "Amazon API PHP", "Amazon API php script", etc.

    Good luck!
  • Unless you use their API and follow their Terms so Service you will be committing copyright infringement. That pretty much goes for any site - scraping content with out permission is not recommended.

  • There are several plugins for wordpress that will interact with Amazon's API and create posts.
