Hoping that you can help me with a pagination issue, please

Hi great programming warriors,

I am hoping that you can help me again. Here is my issue.

One of my sites has a number of long posts. I would like to break these posts into pages. I can do that it with <!--nextpage--> This works well.

Unfortunately, I have a plugin "Related Posts With Thumbnails" which shows up after the post and the pagination shows after the related posts.

This is an old plugin and there is no support for it, so I can't contact the developer (but it works very well and I love it). Also I tried nrelate which is a bit more functional but unfortunately, it does not work very well (another issue)

So my question to you is can you tell me what code could I use to disable this plugin on these particular posts.

I could perhaps place this code in the custom CSS of my theme (wootheme) (I did contact woothemes but they did not help either).

Sorry, if my question is naive, I honestly don't know much about codes but I am hoping that one of you guys will be able to figure out a solution.

Thanks,

Dita

According the the plugin author You can turn off automatic appending to the end of post.
Might check all the plugin settings including the post/page edit screen.

If not, you could use the shortcode on any given post/page so it will only show where you want it to show.
    [related-posts-thumbnails]

Which means you'd have to turn off the setting to have it hook automatically and just use the shortcode.
I guess it depends how many posts you'd have to go through.

Have you tried the Yet Another Related Post Plugin ? It's pretty powerful and you can customize the heck out of it. Much better then the one your using.

Edit: The plugin hooks to the bottom of the post and if it had built in filters, it would be pretty easy to stop the display, but I seriously doubt it does.
Using css will do you no good, it's not a styling issue, but a function.

      Hi David,

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will have to explore other possibilities then. I will have a look at the plugin you suggested. Maybe that one will work.

The reason I stayed with this simple plugin is because it works very well as opposed to some others I tried.. I have not tried the one you mentioned yet.

      Regards,

      Dita

    No problem.
The plugin you have just may work out well if you can find the settings mentioned by the author about automatic appending.
You could also pay someone a few bucks to modify the current plugin and add the ability to turn off the related posts on a per post/page basis as well.

The YARPP plugin is one of the more popular, but make sure to read the instruction that comes with it.

      Hi David,

I solved the problem. I installed he Yarp plugin to give me the related thumbnails and then I found out on their forum to just add <!--noyarpp--> in my post and the related posts will not show up and the pagination starts immediately after my posts.

Hope this can help other warriors too.
