Which editor should I use for android development?

I am using eclipse right now but not quite happy with it. Its demanding lots of package downloaded every time I want to do something new. I think there should be editor which is very good and one time installation.

Suggest me which editor is good?

I'm not into Java personally, but I know that Netbeans supports it, and I really like Netbeans. It's definitely a lot less "bloated" than Eclipse.

Android Studio looks like it could be awesome when its stable, judging by the comments from users I have read it sucks balls at the moment.

I dont understand why eclipse demanding loads of package downloads. All you need is the ADT plugin and thats it.

Are you sure you have all the needed packages installed in the Android SDK Manager.
