credit card payments should be split between two parties?

Is there any solution, where credit card payments can be split between two parties. I've seen paypal's split solution, but it is only limited to paypal users right?

No. Since Paypal allows unregistered users to purchase without an account by credit card, the split feature is able to be used by everyone.

To have multiple users pay for a single sale is literally LOOKING for problems!

I have successfully wrote and used a script that splits payments up to 20 people for the purpose of paying for one big item. We called it Group Pay (as most people do now). The idea is simple. You create a Group Buy item and invite your friends. You set a goal and a date. If you don't meet the goal or date the money goes back to the invitees. The idea is kind of like KickStarter.

Kickstarter is different. With kickstart, it is a donation/credit system. A million people could donate, but they only donate what THEY donate and only THEY get the applicable credit.
