New domain problem - Hostgator

Hi warriors,

Bought 2 domain names 2 days ago, pointed them into my hostgator nameservers, everything ok, but one of them doesn't show up. Nada, niente.

When i test the who is, it clearly shows my name + hostgator nameservers.

Now i am really confused

What am I missing here?

May not have finished propagating yet - sometimes it slower. Every now and then I repoint a domain and find it takes longer for the change to show up.

What type of HG account? If you use add-ons, did you set it up? If a reseller acct - is the domain account created? You could ping the ip or do a tracert to see where the hangup is.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

      Hey kay,

Maybe its just propagating but shouldn't be there a hostgator LP until the domain gets 100%?

I believe i had seen it before: i configure a new domain name, and until he propagates theres a hostgator LP there.

      Anyway, its a baby account

      Thanks for feedback Kay.

      Thanks Tom, will do that.

Well, just can't find the error anywhere. The who is data shows my name, correct hostgator name servers.

      Tracert command shows a error.

    - a geo problem

Hmm, using proxies it works fine for me too. Maybe it didn't propagate to Portugal yet?

    Is it possible?

    P.S. - Thanks fan.

EDIT: even my friends can check the website, and they are in Portugal... weird!

Definitely a computer problem, but i can't understand what.

I can view the website using my wife's laptop in here, at my house. BUT from this PC, my own PC, same IP, same location, i can't view the website.

    Always a dead end.

Any idea on what is blocking ME?

Sure did, even updated Firefox. Also cleared IE cache.

It looks like a "inside" blocking.

Followed your advice but no luck.

          A quick question:

          - upon domain configuration, can someone block a IP range? not on my cpanel, but on domain configuration.

Yoy can go to the Hostgator home page and use their chat and the problem will be fixed while you're online using their chat with them.

I use hostgator for all of my sites and have never had any problems with them or using their chat.

    So this is the process:

    - I buy the domain as usual in local registrar i use for some years now
    - I ask them to change to Hostgator Nameservers
    - Everything goes well, always.

This time i had this issue, but guess what, today morning I asked my registrar for support and voilá, i can see my site.

Not sure what happened, but now i can view my site.

Will wait until Monday morning and i'll grab the phone to ask them what they did. I bet it was a miss-configuration.

    Problem solved!

    Thanks everybody!
