Help! PHP file transformed to Irfanview??

Hi All.
Hoping this is the right section.

I have 'ImportBuddy' files on my PC and a while ago I opened an image file that was a PHP file using Irfanview - It worked but now all of my PHP files are only openable with Irfanview and the other options available don't include a PHP programme. The microsoft website suggested using 'Notepad' which I've done and now all of the PHP files on my computer have transformed to notepad files - Phew!!

Can anyone tell me if this is OK?

Will the ImportBuddy files work as before?

If not, how can I get over this problem Pleeeeease :-)

  • If there is no setting in import buddy that allows you to force restoring the "file associations", try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall importbuddy.
  • The problem is it's not just ImportBuddy that's affected, it's all PHP files on my PC :-)

  • Take it the easy way.If it doesn't effect you,don't bother changing the file type.If it does effect,associate it with the right program and save the changes.
