I did post this issue on the "wordpress support" website but have had no reply and was wondering if anybody who is good with wordpress knew what to do here.

I just uploaded a new wordpress theme to use for a membership site, but on the dashboard I am getting this error:

RSS Error: WP HTTP Error: 200: CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST no longer supports 1 as value!

I have no idea what that means? Does anybody with good wordpress knowledge have any idea what is causing this?

edit: this may be related to a plugin password protector I installed
