Facebook app question

Hello everybody. I don't start many threads, but I finally decided to ask for help. Please excuse me if this is NOT the right section for my thread...

I am currently developing a Facebook application. I already did the programming, used PHP, it works well in my own website, but now I am trying to make the same project as a Facebook app. But I have a problem.

I don't know what to write in the Secure Canvas Page... It wants a link with SSL (a link should start with https...)

But when I place my own link it couldn't be opened. I am using HostGator and according to what I read online, they do NOT offer FREE SSL certificate. But Facebook wants such SECURE link. If anybody can help, I would be really glad.

You will need to buy a SSL certificate and install it on your host/domain. You can only fill a https:// url in Secure Canvas field.

Search on google, i think i got mine for $25/5 years or something like that.

Thanks for all answers. I really appreciate your answers, I am looking for a free way to add this because I need this application for about 3 months. Thanks anyway!

  Hi, you can setup Free SSL of your own but it may not be recognized by major browsers, in that case the site will be blocked first and user will be asked to proceed or not ("I understand the security risk etc..." dialog). And if user adds your SSL certificate to exception list, he/she will be able to browser your site (without any further interruption).
