I am not sure of the answer to your question but I do know that Google does not want to see a lot of links coming from the same host. They consider that suspisious.
My gut instinct is that having similar sites hosted by the same host should not be a problem, just my opinion, not a fact.

If you do not interlink these sites, then you should not have a problem. While Google does use IP addresses and other hosting signals to influence SERPs, these are relatively minor factors according to Moz.com's surveys.

The rise of CDN usage has made it more difficult for Google to rely on IP addresses alone - so interlinked domains tend to receive greater review or be flagged for manual changes.

The only good reason to get different hosting is to eliminate the likelihood that your stress level will go through the roof when the hosting has a problem and both of your sites are offline at the same time.

said, it doesn't matter to Google if you don't link back and forth between the two.

If the purpose of using back links between the two sites they would need to be on different servers so the IP addresses will not be related. Just getting a separate IP address for both sites on the same server would still indicate that they are still on the same server.

you can use different C Class IPs, C IPs are useful for SEO and private PR networks to link the websites. there are number of hosting WSO with C IPs.

Best to seperated server/account for each of your site. This is to keep your website rank individually without hosting related factor.

This "C class" stuff is all nonsense, and has been for a minimum of 12 years (2002) -- and likely was before that, too.

Aside from "classes" of IPs having not existed since 1992, different IPs makes no difference. In the wake of services like CloudFlare and the advent of IPv6, it sounds even more ridiculous.

People that suggest "C class" IPs simply do not understand how the internet works. An IP address is not magic fairy dust that you sprinkle on a site to make it hide/grow/whatever. IP addresses have nothing to do with SEO, ranking, etc.

Use same hosting with different IP, Google wouldnt know if its a shared hosting or VPS cpanel individual account.
